Services — PRP & PRF

Your Body's Own
Healing Intelligence

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapies utilise the growth factors and bioactive proteins present in your own blood to stimulate cellular regeneration, enhance collagen production, and improve overall skin quality — from within.

Autologous Therapy

Naturally Driven
Skin Renewal

At The Rejuvenation Space in Redfern, Sydney, we offer both PRP and PRF as part of our holistic approach to skin rejuvenation. These autologous treatments — meaning they use your own biological material — are valued for their natural compatibility, favourable safety profile, and ability to promote genuine, long-lasting improvement from within.

There is something deeply satisfying about a treatment that draws on your body's own intelligence to restore and renew your skin. PRP and PRF do exactly that, working in harmony with your biology rather than introducing synthetic substances.

The Treatments

Two Therapies,
One Philosophy

Platelet-Rich Plasma

Understanding
PRP

PRP therapy begins with a small blood draw, much like a routine blood test. Your blood is then placed in a centrifuge, where it is spun at high speed to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. The resulting platelet-rich plasma contains a concentrated solution of platelets, growth factors, and cytokines — the signalling molecules your body naturally uses to repair tissue and stimulate healing.

When reintroduced into the skin via microinjections or in combination with skin needling, PRP activates fibroblasts and promotes the production of new collagen and elastin. Clinical studies have reported improvements in skin texture, wrinkle reduction, pore refinement, pigmentation, and collagen density following PRP treatment.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin

The Next
Generation

Platelet-Rich Fibrin is often described as the next generation of platelet concentrate therapy. Unlike PRP, which is processed with an anticoagulant, PRF is prepared without any additives. Your blood is drawn and centrifuged immediately using a slow-speed protocol, creating a three-dimensional fibrin matrix that naturally entraps platelets and white blood cells within its structure.

This fibrin scaffold acts as a structural framework for tissue repair and cellular migration, allowing growth factors to be released gradually over a sustained period of up to two weeks — rather than all at once. The result is a more prolonged regenerative stimulus that many clinicians believe supports deeper and more enduring improvements in skin quality.

Research has shown that PRF demonstrates a greater capacity to promote collagen matrix synthesis, fibroblast migration, and cell proliferation when compared to PRP — making it a compelling option for those seeking a naturally driven approach to skin rejuvenation.

PRP vs PRF

Choosing the
Right Therapy

Both therapies harness your body's own growth factors. The key differences lie in processing method, release profile, and depth of regenerative effect. Your clinician will recommend the most appropriate option based on your treatment goals.

Treatment Areas

What PRP & PRF
Can Address

Under-eye area

Particularly effective for under-eye hollowing and the fine, crepey skin that develops in the periorbital area — a delicate region where PRP and PRF offer a natural, autologous alternative to conventional fillers.

Lip area

Stimulates collagen production, improves circulation, enhances hydration, and restores smoother texture and volume without the use of synthetic fillers.

Full face rejuvenation

Improves overall tone, firmness, elasticity, and skin quality across the face — a versatile complement to a comprehensive rejuvenation plan.

Skin texture & tone

Reduces markers of photoaging, refines pores, addresses pigmentation irregularities, and supports the skin's extracellular matrix for a more luminous complexion.

What to Expect

Your Treatment
Journey

01

Blood draw

A small blood draw is taken — much like a routine blood test. The process is quick and straightforward.

02

Centrifuge processing

Your blood sample is processed in a specialised centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and prepare the PRP or PRF.

03

Topical anaesthetic

While your sample is being prepared, a topical anaesthetic is applied to the treatment area to ensure your comfort.

04

Reintroduction

The concentrated platelet preparation is reintroduced via precise microinjections, or applied in combination with skin needling to enhance delivery.

Recovery

You may experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, which typically resolves within a few days. Most clients observe gradual improvement in skin quality over the following weeks as collagen production is stimulated and tissue remodelling takes place.

Recommended course

A course of two to three treatments, spaced approximately four to six weeks apart, is generally recommended for optimal results.

2–3 sessions
