Clinical exfoliation

Skin Peels for
skin health.

Personalised clinical skin peels at The Rejuvenation Space in Redfern, Sydney. Your clinician selects the right formulation and treatment plan for your skin, concerns and tolerance.

A considered approach

Exfoliation, guided by
your skin.

A clinical skin peel uses carefully selected acids to encourage the shedding of surface skin cells. When chosen and applied appropriately, peels can support a smoother-looking texture, a more even-looking tone and clearer-looking skin as part of a broader skin-health plan.

At The Rejuvenation Space, we do not take a one-size-fits-all approach. Your clinician considers your skin history, current routine, sensitivity, pigmentation risk and goals before recommending a peel or an alternative treatment.

What the evidence supports

Why clinical peels
can be useful.

Research and clinical practice support the use of superficial chemical peels for selected skin concerns. Results vary by formulation, concentration, skin type, preparation and aftercare, so a professional assessment is essential.

Texture and radiance

Superficial peels can help refine the appearance of rough texture and dullness by supporting regular surface-cell turnover. A course of treatment may be recommended when appropriate.

Breakout-prone skin

Salicylic acid is oil-soluble and is commonly used in clinical care for congestion and breakout-prone skin. Your clinician will assess whether it suits your skin and current routine.

Uneven-looking tone

Lactic acid and other carefully selected exfoliating agents may be used within a tailored plan for uneven-looking tone. For pigmentation-prone skin, treatment selection and sun protection are especially important.

A supported skin barrier

More is not always better. Appropriate spacing, preparation and aftercare help protect the skin barrier and reduce the chance of unnecessary irritation.

Your treatment options

Selected for your
skin, not a trend.

Lactic acid peels

A gentle alpha hydroxy acid option that may be considered for dry, dull or texture-focused concerns, depending on your skin assessment.

Salicylic acid peels

A beta hydroxy acid option commonly considered for congestion and breakout-prone skin because it is oil-soluble.

Modified Jessner peels

A clinician-selected blend that may be considered for suitable skin concerns and treatment goals. Your clinician will advise whether it is appropriate for you.

Before and after

Treatment is only
one part of the plan.

Your appointment begins with a consultation and skin assessment. We will discuss preparation, what you may experience during treatment, expected recovery and the homecare that supports your results. Temporary redness, dryness or flaking can occur, and your clinician will provide individual aftercare guidance.

Not every skin concern is best treated with a peel. We may recommend another treatment, a slower approach or a referral when that is the safest and most appropriate option.
